Alice Munro:Writing Her Lives by Robert Thacker is a biography that combines authenticity with literariness.In the chronical narrative starting from Ahce Munro’s birth to her life in 2009,Thacker investigates Munro’s family history in detail with a parallel study of Munro’s autobiographical writing,and thus it manifests both the weight of historicity as well as literariness.
