网络药理学是基于系统生物学的理论,对生物系统的网络分析,选取特定信号节点进行多靶点药物分子设计的新兴学科。与传统药理学相比,网络药理学是建立在高通量组学数据分析、网络数据库检索基础上的研究策略,是从系统生物学和生物网络平衡的角度阐释药物与机体的相互作用,强调药物对信号通路的多途径调节。

Network pharmacology,an academic frontier based on systems biology,aims to analyze the network of the biological system,thereby selecting the specific signal nodes to design multitarget drugs.Compared to traditional pharmacology,network pharmacology is a strategy that combines analysis of high flux data and database retrieval.It claims the interaction between medicine and organisms from the perspective of systems biology,as well as the multi regulations of the signal pathways affected by the drugs.TCM is a complex system,which has complicated interrelations between its effect and the downstream targets.Network pharmacology focuses on the integrity and systemics,which is particularly suitable for clarifying the relations of multi-ingredients and multi-targets of TCM and predicting the indication and side effects.
