The paper reveals that the regional information-based medical quality supervision system is an essential foundation for the scientific and effective supervision of government or any social organization responsible for regulation. The establishment of this system is closely related to informationization, but there are significant differences between the two in aspects of establishment principle, idea, and operation. Against the current background that the medical and health system reform is being deepened, the national strategy of 'Internet +' is being promoted in an all-round manner, and society is developing into the age of big data, it is particularly important to establish a scientific system which insists on reform orientation, focuses on risks, puts prevention first, starts with data, and implements hierarchical management.
