Medical Device Classification According to Maintenance Indicators

目的介绍一种基于维修指标的医疗设备分类方法。方法根据不同医疗设备的使用年限计算全院医疗设备的维修量、维修时间和维修费用3个指标,从而定义了医疗设备的3个类别。该方法适用于某三级综合医院在用的1 122台医疗设备。结果 6.4%的医疗设备被划分为C类,35.1%为B类,58.5%为A类。监护仪中大多数属于A类医疗设备类型(74.7%),因为其中近59%的监护仪是在不到4年的时间内购置的。结论该医疗设备分类方法是用于警示临床医学工程师关注更容易出现维修故障问题的医疗设备,以及支持医疗设备更新决策的重要工具。

Objective This article describes a simple method of medical device classification based on maintenance indicators.Methods Three indicators including the number of events,duration and cost of maintenance were calculated based on durable years.Three classes were defined according to the indicator values of different device ages.The method was applied to 2,122 pieces of devices from the tertiary general hospital.Results 6.4%of the devices were classified as C,35.1%as B and 58.5%as A.The physiological monitor for general use was the type of devices of which most units were in the A class(74.7%),because almost 59%of them were acquired within less than 4 years.Conclusion The developed classification may be an important tool for raising alerts about device more prone to maintenance problems,as well as for supporting decision-making on device replacement.
