论西蒙喜剧的现代变异与发展

On Modern Variation and Development in Simon’s Comedies

第二次世界大战后,美国现代化进程加快,传统的戏剧模式已不能反映新时期的社会基本特征,于是,改革的呼声催生了战后美国戏剧表现出显著的现代变异。尼尔·西蒙的喜剧衔接了现代戏剧的这种发展态势。本文从现代戏剧、现代电影、现代叙事等跨学科的视角考察了西蒙对传统戏剧的传承与创新、西蒙喜剧的电影化以及其中内置的现代叙事因子,并由此探究了西蒙喜剧发生现代变异的动力、逻辑轨迹、价值取向及二战后现代戏剧的发展趋势。

With the acceleration of the process of modernization in America,the traditional model of drama can no longer reflect the basic social characteristics of the new era. As a result, the call for reform has given birth to the trend of the modernization of American theater. In his works, Neil Simon responds to the trend by creating lots of classic and serious comedies.From interdisciplinary perspectives of modern drama, modern cinema and modern narratology, this paper examines Simon’s inheritance and innovation of traditional drama, the picturization and modern narrative factors embedded in his comedies,to explore the motive force on modern variation of Simon’s comedies, logical order, value orientation and developing trend of modern drama after World War Ⅱ.
