Human body is not only a physical form but also a place where political, cultural and economical vestiges are fully shown. In Morrison’s novel Love, bodies of black females have been treated as commodities and been belittled and punished, whereas black women were always silent about it. The reason lies in the internalization of the male-dominating culture and the loss of their own subjectivity. Morrison revealed the black female bodies were disciplined by the power relationships, and therefore, encouraged black women to act like Junior who takes the initiative of her body to build up sisterly affection and harmonious gender relation, hence, female subjectivity.
