同业业务对中国上市银行效率影响研究

Research on the Influence of Interbank Business on the Efficiency of Listed Banks in China

基于中国41家上市银行2005—2017年数据,并通过SBM超效率模型及Tobit模型对上市银行效率进行测度,在此基础上实证分析同业业务发展对上市银行效率的影响。结论显示:非期望产出对银行效率测度具有重要影响,不考虑非期望产出的效率值高估了银行实际效率;同业业务对银行效率的影响具有不确定性,同业业务对国有大行的效率影响不显著,但对股份制、城商行和农商行效率影响明显。如果考虑风险因素,同业业务在提高城商行和农商行效率的同时也增大此类银行的潜在风险。

Based on the data of 41 listed banks in China from 2005 to 2017,the efficiency of listed banks was measured by SBM super-efficiency model and Tobit model,and the influence of interbank business development on the efficiency of listed banks was empirically analyzed based on this. The conclusion shows that the undesirable output has important impacts on the measurement of bank efficiency,and the efficiency value without considering the undesirable output overestimates the actual efficiency of the bank. The influences of interbank business on the efficiency of banks are uncertain. The influence of interbank business on the efficiency of large state-owned banks is not significant,but it has significant impacts on the efficiency of joint-stock banks,urban commercial banks and agricultural commercial banks. If risk factors are taken into account,interbank business not only improves the efficiency of urban commercial banks and agricultural commercial banks,but also increases the potential risks of such banks.
