百年前,云南一些卓越的知识分子已经将西方技术成就移植到我们自己的土地上,这个奇迹发生在1910年农历七月,在昆明,中国的第一座水电站正式开工。在之后的近百年的历史中,西山区的马街至海口这滇池之畔的一条狭窄的走廊中,逐步形成了云南最重要的工业基地和云南工业文明的摇篮,演绎了云南百年的工业文明史。这里诞生了无数个“中国第一”、“云南第一”,正是这一个个第一,引领我们迎来了云南工业文明的曙光,引领我们走过烽火连天的抗战岁月、引领我们走向新中国成立后的繁荣富强。
About 100 years ago, some prominent intellectuals of Yunnen had transplanted the technological achievement from the western countries to our land. This miracle happened in the 7th lunar month of 1910 in Kunming where the construction of the first hydropower station in China started. In the following history of nearly 100 years, the most important Industrial base in Yunnan and the cradle of Yunnan's industrial civilization have been gradually formed along the narrow corridor from Majie to Haikou in Xishan District by Dianchi Lake. It is from here the millennium's history of industrial civilization in Yunnan has been deduced, and it is from here numerous 'China's firsts' and 'Yunnan's firsts' were born. It is no other than these firsts that have led us to greet the dawn of Yunnan s_industria[ civilization, to pass by the fighting years of war and march towards the prosperity of new China.
