Reflection on Ideology for Running of Schools and Reorientation of Local PE Universities and Colleges in the New Era

大学理念与办学目标定位事关高等学校的发展方向,地方体育院校应树立为地方体育事业发展服务、以质量求生存、以特色求发展的办学新理念,以行业性、教学研究型和培养本科应用型人才为办学定位,在新的社会形势下实行党委领导、行政管理、教授治学的现代大学制度,以应对市场经济的严峻挑战。并就地方体育院校办学理念的沿革和现存问题进行讨论,提出体育院校重构现代大学理念的战略思考。

University ideology and orientation of objectives for running of schools are crucial to the direction of development for universities of higher learning. Local PE universities and colleges should foster the new ideology of serving for the development of local PE undertakings, striving for survival on the basis of quality and seeking development with characteristics for running of schools. The universities and colleges should reorient their directions for running of schools with professional and teaching-research models, and training applicable undergraduate talents. Furthermore, they should implement the modern university system in which the Party committee takes the leadership of administration and professors do scholarly pursuits in meeting the challenges from market economy under the new circumstances. The article further reviews the ideological changes and development of running of schools in local universities and colleges, discusses the existing problems and puts forward the strategic reflection on reconstructing modern university ideology for PE universities and colleges.
