To Rethink the Ideas of Traditional Development and Reconstruct Harmonious-development Idea under the Condition of SARS

SARS危机暴露了我们传统的以GDP为中心的发展观的局限性。目前,我们应从一味追求单纯的经 济增长热中冷静下来,走出"以GDP为中心"的发展观的思维定势,在发展观上来一个根本性的转变,树立和谐发 展的新理念。并从发展意识和价值观念的更新、干部政绩的评价与考核方法的改革以及政府职能转变等方面推 动和谐发展观的建立。

The shortcomings of our traditional idea of development (the heart is GDP) are exposed by SARS. Now we should get rid of the GDP thought and build new idea of harmonious development. Moreover, we should promote its building from such aspects as renewing development mentality and concept of value, reforming the check-up methods of cadre achievements and transforming government function.
