在2018年1月8日下午举行的潍柴动力13G发布暨卓越动力系统上市仪式上,作为国家科技进步一等奖项目的第一完成人,潍柴动力董事长谭旭光表示,未来的30-50年,商用车特别是重型车离不开重型柴油机,新能源不会取代重型柴油机。谭旭光在接受媒体采访时,再一次重申了他一直坚持的观点:必须破除'柴油机是污染根源'的误区,在产品研发和创新上要坚持'实事求是',新能源不是适于所有的市场领域。但是,谭旭光强调,必须做出持续研发中国重型柴油机的努力,到2020年进一步提升发动机热效率,在国际同行中由'并跑'变为'超跑'。潍柴动力自主创新之路:引进、消化、吸收、再提高作为中国商用车动力的领军企业。
Mr. Tan Xuguang, chairman of Weichai Power reaffirmed again when being interviewed recently that the misunderstanding that diesel engine is the source of heavy pollution must be corrected and cleared up among the industry, which is an opinion he has always insisted. In fact, any new R&D and innovation should be based on the principle of 'Seek Truths from Facts', and new alternative energy vehicles are not proper for all sectors of auto market. Mr. Tan believed that commercial vehicles, especially heavy-duty trucks, are still in strong demand of dieselengine in the coming 30 to 50 years, which obviously tell that new energy won’t replace the heavy-duty engine.
