On Jia Hongzhao,the Metropolitan Graduate of Junzhou in the Song Dynasty

清代末年均州进士贾洪诏,官至云南巡抚。为官数十年,勤政爱民,干练有为,兴利除弊,政绩显著,尤其善于处理各民族之间的关系,深受各族人民的拥护。解职回归故里后,主讲郧山书院,主修同治《郧县志》、光绪《续辑均州志》。凡州中有关民生之事皆奔走呼吁,咸底于成。勤于笔耕,其《葆真斋集》中的诗文呈现出不尚华丽,不事雕琢,追求平易朴实,清刚超拔的风格。其记叙文,章法谨严,脉络清晰,剪裁得当,重点突出,往往在叙述之中间之以精辟的议论,画龙点睛之效立现。其中家传、祭吊类文章情感真挚而充沛,读来感人至深。其议论文立意高远,构思严谨,观点鲜明,阐微发幽,道他人所未道,言他人所未言。其诗歌写景状物,笔意独到,抒情言志,情感充沛,尤其擅长五言排律。

Jia Hongzhao,the metropolitan graduate of Junzhou in the Song Dynasty and was elected the Governor of Yunnan Province,who was honest and diligent,excellent in dealing with relations between nationalities and respected by the people of different nationalities.After his retirement,he taught in Yunshan Academy and compiled Yunxian County History and Junzhou History.His works are full of real emotions,penetrating opinions,precise structure and unique implication.
