Modern music begins in the 20th century,whose creation technique and skills are different from that of the traditional music,which are the key differences of modern music from traditional music.The ' modernist' composers have been courageous in creating many fine works.Chen Yi is one of them,whose masterpiece is Doyle,an integration of Chinese and western musical elements.This paper has,from the creation background of Doyle,studied the fusion of Chinese and western elements in order to provide reference for music lovers of Doyle.
