Since the contemporary art exhibition no longer regards aesthetic presentation as its primary task, the elements and forms of the exhibition have become more open and diversified. The exhibition gradually gets rid of the traditional'white cube'space display mode and the constraints of the building space, move towards a more open place, the art work presented on a exhibition is not limited to the final product. On the contrary, the dynamic process of producing works from scratch has become a part of the exhibition. These exhibitions emphasize the in-volvement of society and life, with the aim of participating in the solution of social problems. The case study of the ancient town will push the art exhibition to a wider horizon, and discuss its significance and possibilities in the field of reinventing the rural culture, thus providing a reference for us to explore new ideas and methods of exhibition planning.
