直到1960年,艺术管理作为一门学科才正式出现,美国各个大学纷纷开设艺术管理专业。哥伦比亚大学教育学院艺术与人文系开设艺术管理硕士研究生课程,卡耐基梅隆大学汉斯学院的公共政策与管理学校开设艺术管理硕士研究生课程,此外还有很多大学开设艺术管理本科课程。艺术管理作为一门学科,迫切需要课程设置标准。成立于1975年的美国艺术管理教育者学会在20世纪初出台了艺术管理本科及硕士课程标准,为美国高校艺术管理专业的课程设置提供了参考。

It was not until 1960 that art management emerged as a discipline,and various universities in the United States offered art management majors.The Department of Arts and Humanities at Columbia University College of Education offers a master’s degree in Art management,the school of Public Policy and management at Hans Col-lege,Carnegie Mellon University offers a postgraduate program in arts management,and many universities offer undergraduate courses in arts management.As a subject,art management urgently needs the standard of cur-riculum setting.Founded in 1975,the Association of Arts Administration Educators introduced the arts management undergraduate and master’s course standards in early 20 th century,which provided a reference for the curriculum setting of the art management major in American universities.
