Motivated by the market demand out of the increasing usage of magnesium in the various fields, China’s magnesium production in 2005 reached 467,600 tons, which is an increase of 139.8 per cent on the basis of the year 2000, and China has become the world largest magnesium producing country for the eighth successive year.
