Different from the economies of agriculture and industry,knowledge economy is a new economic form, with totally new characteristics in concept concerning resources and productive forces. In order to be geared to the need of the knowledge economy, Liaoning should speed up the adjustment of industrial structure, devote major efforts to promote new and high technology, quicken the transformation of traditional industries, develop new and expanding industries to make Liaoning's economy advance faster.
