提高太阳活动区磁场观测空间分辨率的一种方法

A Method for Improving the Spacial Resolution of the Observation of Magnetic Fields in the Solar Active Region

多年来云南天文台的磁场观测取得了许多有价值的资料。但是由于采用了偏振网格检偏器进行观测,只能得到2.3″×1.5″区域上的平均总磁场强度。本文提出一种新设想,在不改动原有的观测仪器的前提下,在光路中放置一个Wallaston棱镜,这样就可以使太阳活动区磁场的观测在空间分辨率方面得到较大地提高。

Yunnan Observatory has obtained many valuable data of magnetic fields of solar active regions. However, only the average total magnitic fields intensity on an area of 2.3" ×1.5" could be measured because of the limitation of the polarization grating. In this paper a new. design is suggested by adding a Wallaston prism in the optical path without changing the original instrument. The method could quite enhance the spatial resolution of the observation of magnetic fields in solar active regions.
