FOFs: Unique Mechanism of Asset Management

基金中基金是投资于其他基金的基金,即市场上可以交易买卖的其他投资基金的受益凭证本身,是基金投资管理的一种现代形式。

FOFs are mutual funds that invest in other mutual funds. It is a new instrument and unique asset management mechanism. Comprised of multiple-manager portfolios, FOFs make investment decisions based on diverse investment patterns and strategies. The scheme of FOFs may not necessarily be mutual funds, it could be hedge funds or privately placed equities funds. Therefore we have basically three types of FOFs, namely fund of funds, hedge fund of funds and privately placed equities fund of funds.
