An Analysis of Jiang Ze-min's Thought on Governing the Country with Law

依法治国,就是广大人民群众在党的领导下,依照宪法和法律的规定,通过各种途径和形式参与管理国家事务、经济文化事务、社会事务,保证国家各项工作都依法进行,逐步实现社会主义民主的制度化、法律化;依法治国的主要环节包括立法、执法、司法和普法教育;依法治国是党领导人民治理国家的基本方略。

Govern the country with law' means that under the leadership of our party, the masses participate in the administration of national affairs, economic and cultural affairs and social affairs through different means according to the stip-ulation of constitution and laws. 'Rule by law' includes legalization, legal enforcement, judicature and popularization of legal knowledge, which is the basic strategy of party leadership.
