摘要
从历史典籍记载与当代地名用语可知,徽州地名所使用的"源"、"洞"均为徽语方言词,指称"山谷中狭长型平原"并转指坐落其中的村落。但二者在出现早晚、存在长短及分布区域等方面又有不同。
From historical records and contemporary place-name usage, 'Yuan' and 'Dong' are both Hui Dialect vocabulary, which meaning is 'A narrow plain in a valley' and 'The village within it'. However, they are slightly different in occurrence time, life span and distribution area.
