《康熙字典撮要》注音系统研究

A Study of Phonetic System of The Concise Kanghsi Dictionary(《康熙字典撮要》)

《康熙字典撮要》是英国传教士湛约翰于1877年所编著完成的一部缩略本《康熙字典》。湛约翰对《康熙字典》的检字方法、韵图系统、反切系统都进行了一系列大胆的改良与创新。最有特点的是该书的韵图,不仅有古音系统的,还包括正音、北音、南音三个时音系统的。本文主要从该辞书中所收的韵图与反切入手进行研究,对《康熙字典撮要》的注音系统进行描写与研究,试图从湛约翰在辞书编纂方面的创新处予以挖掘,对我国辞书编纂史进行补充。

The Concise Kanghsi Dictionary(《康 熙 字 典 撮 要》)was compiled by a British missionary John Chalmers in 1877. John Chalmers improved the original indexing system for Chinese characters, rhyme tables and ways of fanqie(反切) of Kanghsi Dictionary(《康熙字典》). The most featured parts of this dictionary are the ryhme tables, which include not only the middle Chinese phonological system, but also the standard Chinese system, Northern Chinese and Southern Chinese. Our research started from the rhyme tables and fanqie system of this dictionary. We interpreted the phonetic system of The Concise Kanghsi Dictionary and try to find the innovations of John Chalmers on dictionary compilation, hoping to complement the history of Chinese dictionary compilation.
