After he retired from official posts and returned home,Li Yuanyang,a celebrated scholar in Yunnan province during the Ming dynasty,devoted himself to Zen meditation and visited mountains and rivers.His voluminous essays and poems recorded the leisure life of his later years and reflected his thoughts about leisure.His opinions are mostly about leisure axiology,efforts in leisure,and accomplishment out of leisure,betraying his transcending realm of beauty appreciation and noble personal character.
