毛奇龄是清初著名的经学家。一生著述浩富,其中四书学著作有12种66卷。这些四书学著作自成系统,以批驳朱熹《四书章句集注》为旨归,在一定程度上消解了元明以来士人奉为金律的《四书章句集注》的权威性。

Mao Qiling was a famous scholar of Confucius classics in the early Qing dynasty.He wrote 12 titles in 66 volumes about the Four Confucian Classics,creating a system of his own aimed at criticizing Zhuxi's Analects of the Four Confucian Classics,which had been regarded as the standard interpretation of the Confucian canons.Mao undermined Zhu's established authority to a certain extent.
