“The Work of Peoples’ Identification-Determination ” and Marxist National Theory and Practice in Contemporary Vietnam

当代越南的"确定民族成份工作"是越南党和政府用马克思主义民族观应对本国民族问题的一次成功实践,是越南国家建设的重要组成部分。而针对民族成份固化引发的问题进行深入研究并探讨解决之策也是非常必要的。长远来看,在积极推进统摄越南全部自然民族的越南国族建设的过程中,逐步使民族身份处理公民化,最终使民族概念回归对于社会群体文化分类的原本属性,是人们需要考虑的。

With the application of Marxist national outlook by the Vietnamese communist party and government to deal with its 'peoples’ issues','the work of peoples’ identification-determination' in contemporary Vietnam is a successful practice, which is an important part of Vietnam’s nation-building. It is also necessary to conduct in-depth research on the problems caused by the solidification of ethnic ingredients and explore solutions, correspondingly. In the long run, in the process of actively promoting the national construction of Vietnam, which governs all the natural nationalities in Vietnam, it may be necessary to gradually civilize the treatment of national identity and eventually return the national concept to the original attribute of the cultural classification of social groups.
