明末,成都城为张献忠大西军所破,华阳县令沈云祚被俘,不屈遇害。时其子沈荀蔚年仅三岁。此后与其母在蜀中漂泊流离,历经战乱,劫后余生。战乱平息后,沈荀蔚已成人(二十四岁),写成此《蜀难叙略》,备述自己在这一场浩劫中的经历。其亲历闻见,是了解四川、重庆地区明末清初历史的珍贵资料。此文三毁三续而成,文笔纯熟、生动。作者成长于漂泊离乱之中,不废学业,于此文见之。其父沈云祚事迹,见本刊《语言历史论丛》(第五辑)明末范文光撰《沈华阳传》及注。原文选自《中国西南文献丛书》《西南史地文献·蜀难叙略》,缪文远主编,兰州大学出版社,2004年,387-414页,原文影印。

In late Ming dynasty,Chengdu was attacked by the Great West Army(大西军)leading by Zhang Xianzhong(张献忠).Shen Yunzuo,the county magistrate,was murdered for not surrendering.At that time,his son,Shen Xunwei was only three years old.Having been wandering about in Shu district,Shen Xunwei survived in the war.When the war was put down,Shen Xunwei was a 24-year-old adult and had composed this SHUNANXULVE(《蜀难叙略》)to elaborate his experience in this catastrophe in detail.What he had seen and heard is the precious material to learn the history of Sichuan and Chongqing district in the period of late Ming dynasty and Early Qing dynasty.With a skillful and vivid writing style,this article was composed by three times of destroy and continuity.Though the author had grown up in separations and wars,his persistence in keeping studying is perceptable in this article.The deeds of his father,Shen Yunzuo,was composed in SHENHUAYANGZHUAN(《沈华阳传》)by Fan Mingguang in late Ming dynasty whose original text and annotations could be found in this collection of the Papers on Languages and history(Volume 5~6).The original text is excerpt from page 387to 414(photocopy of the original texts)of Southwest Historical and Geographial Literature Document·SHUNANXULVE(《西南史地文献·蜀难叙略》)from the Series of Southwest Literature Document(《中国西南文献丛书》),which are compiled by Miu Wenyuan,published by Lanzhou University Press in 2004.
