六书假借析论

Analysis of Jiajie(假借)in Liushu(六书)

本文梳理古今对六书假借的主要论点,认为“本无其字”是指汉字形体与本义不相应,包括今天所谓的引申和没有引申关系的借音字,也应该是造字法。

This paper has summarized the main ideas on Jiajie in Liushu(six categories of Chinese characters)and pointed out that Benwuqizi(there is no character that represents such a meaning)means the incorrespondence between the form of a Chinese character and its original meaning,including the so called extension of meaning and the phonetic loan characters that have no extension in meaning.Jiajie should be a formation of Chinese characters.
