“筚篥”音义探微

On the Pronunciation and Meaning of “Hichiriki”

筚篥是源于古代龟兹的竖吹簧管乐器,在各种传世的历史文献中出现频率很高,且异名众多,或据音译,或因形制、或因其演奏场合及地位。流入中原地区后,以其特殊而稳定的音色受到宫廷雅乐及民间演奏的广泛重视,但长期以来学界对其名源缺乏从形、音、义角度进行系统梳理,本文拟系统地揭示筚篥的词源及形制,以促进准确地理解语言与文化的关系。

'Hichiriki'is a well-known instrument which comes of vertical blow reed instrument in ancient times of Kucha.Because of its transliteration,form,playing occasion and status,it has numerous names.What’s more,it appears in various historical documents frequently.Because of its special and stable tone,it has been widely valued by court music and folk performances after entering the Central Plains.However,the academic circles have systematically explained their names from the perspective of shape,sound and meaning for a long time,it’s not comprehensive.Thus,this paper intends to systematically reveal the etymology and the form of Hichiriki,in order to promote an accurate understanding of the relationship between language and culture.
