How to Cope with the Current of Initial Deviance in Chinese

当前汉语普通话中出现的局部变异现象已经开始牵动语音系统的经脉,坚持汉语拼音方案还是随顺流变新潮,是语言研究者、教育工作者以及传媒系统都应认真讨论和应对的问题。本文从过去半个多世纪以来出现的"j、q、x声母念成z、c、s"的语音流变现象入手,分析了这种流变产生和发展的原因;指出这种语音变异所带来的一系列问题,并提出在社会语言运用和普通话教学中应对这种变异的意见。

The past decades witness the changes of the Chinese initials j,q,x towards z,c,s,which have been observed among young female Chinese speakers. The deviance of some initials has posed some threats to the pronunciation system and phonemic structure of Chinese. To stick to the Chinese Phonetic Alphabet,or to keep up with the new current of the deviance,that is a serious problem for linguists,teachers and the departments concerned. After reviewing the history and causes of the initial changes,this paper reveals a series of problems caused by the deviance,and then proposes to cope with the deviance in the performance and teaching of Chinese language at present.
