Every culture and every country in the world celebrates New Year.but not veryone does it the same way. The countries of the Americasand Europe welcome the new year on January first. This practice beganwith the Romans. Julius Caesar changed the date of the new year fromthe first day of March to the first day of January. In the MiddleEast, New Year is when spring begins. People in Vietnam celebrate iton Tet①, which is the first day of their calcudar based on the moon.Tet usually comes between January 21 and February 19.
