摘要
there作为引导词(anticipatory adverb)与动词be一起,形成there+be结构。其基本用法,已为初学者所掌握。但要谙熟there+be和类似there+be的一些较为复杂的用法,则需花一番功夫。现将笔者读书、教学所得,择其要点,以飨读者。一、there+be后除以名词作主语外,不定代词作主语也很常见。如: There is nothing the matter with me. There is someone at the door. 二、there+be有时和used to连用,表示过去经常存在的一种情况。如:
