would rather与prefer 的用法辨析

1.would rather 与 prefer 意思相近,都表示“宁愿、更喜欢”等意义,但用法不同。would rather 的用法与 wish 类似,后跟一般过去时,也可用过去进行时或 would。但在以下三例中.意思基本没有区别:I’d rather you wentI’d rather you were going.I’d rather you would go.2.would rather 后也可用现在时的虚拟形式,意思上也没有明显差别:I’d rather you go and she stay there.I prefer that you go and she stay there.
