入仕和归隐的矛盾贯穿了元好问的前半生。这种矛盾心态以及辞职归隐等所作所为,从他入职国史馆不久就已经开始,延续到进京为官以后,直至金亡之际。究其原因,既与金朝末年的社会生态密不可分,也与自身的主观仕进意愿相关。
