According to the applying extent of deep knowledge,product innovations can be divided into four levels.For high level product innovations,patents are the main resource of proinding such deep knowledge.with the method of analysis patents,the heuristics and technical effects database are founded.A querying mechanism is built on computer including the querying system of heuristics and technical effects.After the design problem is abstractly represented,the conceptual design of machine products is implemented by the heuristics and effects and novel design schemes are gained.
