开明士绅是抗日根据地“三三制”民主政权中属于中间势力的一部分,他们不仅在政治方面对根据地建设颇有帮助,而且在根据地的经济、军事、教育、社会救济等方面,也发挥了积极的作用,为抗战胜利做出了贡献。开明士绅的历史功绩,不能抹煞。

The enlightened gentry was a part of the intermediate forces led by the CPC under the ' San San Zhi'Anti - Japanese Democratic Regime.They had not only helped the construction of the Base Area,but also taken an active part in the economy, military affairs, education, social relief and etc. They had made contributions to the Anti - Japanese war and their historical merits could not be obliterated.
