Phenolic resin modified by melamine and cashew nul shell oil can be used as adhesive for various base materials in brake shoes. Research on the impact of factors such as reactant ratio, catalyst dosage and reaction time on the behavior of phenolic resin is made. The optimal reactant ratio and production process are defined and also successfully used in the commercial production.
