论语言的形式与语言的“优劣”

本文从语言的结构和形式没有简单与复杂之分 ,语言没有难学与易学、发达与原始、优秀与低劣之别的角度 ,驳斥了偏颇和错误的语言价值观。作者认为 ,任何一种被使用着的语言 ,都是经过长期演变而形成的完整的符号系统和交际工具 ,都是在特定的社会文化条件下、在有效地为其使用者服务的过程中不断发展起来的 ,而且常常是只有本民族语言才能更好地满足该民族成员自身的需要 ,才能更有效地表达和象征该民族的文化。

Holding that there is no difference such as simple or complex, easy or difficult, developed or backward, superior or inferior in languages in terms of their structure and form, the author refutes the fallacies and the erroneous linguistic values. Any language that is still being used has become an integrated semiotic system and a communicative tool through the long-term evolvement. It has been developing continuously in the process of serving its users well under specific social and cultural circumstances. Generally, it is only the native language that can meet its people's needs and express and represent the ethnic culture effectively.
