The philosophy of the design of BRES(Ball Roll Pass EXPERT System)for the selection of initial parameters for designing the ball roll pass,the structure of the EXPERT'S block diagram and its usefulness are introduced in this article.Intelligence data bank as well as the construction technique of the logical analyzer are also discussed.Practical applications of the optimized pass design in a CAD manner are also provided.All above demonstrates that the EXPERT system is oriented to the common user,making possible the designing of sophisticated skew-grooved ball rolls.Thus a prototype design of a software for skew-grooved roll pass designing is available to update the design technique,to reduce the design cycle and to extend the technology to skew rolling of machine parts of this nature with a ba- sic intelligent tool.
