Expression of CD44V6 and CD44V7-8 in cervical cancer

目的 :探讨CD4 4V6和CD4 4V7 8在宫颈癌中的表达及临床意义 .方法 :采用免疫组化S P法对 10例正常宫颈上皮、16例宫颈上皮内瘤样病变 (CIN)、10例原位癌及 30例宫颈浸润癌标本中CD4 4V6和CD4 4V7 8的表达进行检测 .结果 :正常宫颈组织中 ,CD4 4V6、CD4 4V7 8均无阳性表达 .在宫颈CIN→原位癌→宫颈侵润癌中 ,阳性表达均呈上升趋势 ,两者呈正相关 (r =0 .96 3,P <0 .0 5 ) .CD4 4V7 8阳性表达早于CD4 4V6 .CD4 4V6阳性表达率与临床分期、病理分级呈正相关 (r=1.0 0 ,P <0 .0 5 ) ,有淋巴结转移者CD4 4V6阳性表达明显高于无淋巴结转移者 .结论 :CD4 4V7 8阳性表达是一个较早的分子事件 ,对宫颈癌的发生可能起重要作用 ,可作为早期诊断宫颈癌的潜在指标 ;CD4 4V6阳性表达与淋巴结转移密切相关 ,可作为估计预后的生物学指标 .联合检测CD4 4V6、CD4 4V7 8,对宫颈癌的早期诊断、免疫治疗和评估预后具有重要意义 .

AIM: To study expression of CD44V6 and CD44V7 8 in cervical cancer and its clinical significance. METHODS: Specimens form 10 cases of normal cervical tissue,16 cases of cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN), 10 cases of intraepithelial carcinoma in situs of cervix uteri, and 30 cases of invasive carcinoma of cervix uteri were detected for the expression of CD44V6 and CD44V7 8 using immunohistochemical S P method. RESULTS: Both CD44V6 and CD44V7 8 were negative in normal cervical epithelium. The expression of CD44V6 and CD44V7 8 revealed a rising trend in CIN→intraepithelial carcinoma in situs of cervix uteri→invasive carcinoma of cervix uteri, and displayed positive correlation ( r=0.963, P <0.05). and displayed positive correlation ( r=0.963, P <0.05). but CD44V7 8 went up earlier than CD44V6. Positivity of CD44V6 had positive correlation with clinical stage and histological grade of the carcinoma ( r=1.00, P <0.05). The positive rate of CD44V6 in patients with lymph nodes metastasis was higher than that in patients without lymph nodes metastasis. CONCLUSION: CD44V7 8 expression changes in the early stage during the genesis of cervical cancer, which may be a molecular biological marker in the early diagnosis of cervical cancer. The positive expression of CD44V6 has close relationship with lymphnode metastasis, and is likely to be indicative of the patients prognosis. Detection of both CD44V6 and CD44V7 8 can be helpful in diagnosis, treatment, and prognosis evaluation of cervical cancer.
