党的十六大在规划我国全面建设小康社会宏伟蓝图的同时,突出强调了文化建设的极端重要性。文化是民族的精神支撑和智力之源。先进文化是人类文明的结晶,它包含思想道德和科学文化两个方面。努力建设高品位的校园文化是弘扬先进文化的途径之一。弘扬主旋律,以先进文化武装师生头脑,加强师德建设,充分发挥学生的主体作用,树立服务意识,开展校际间的交流与合作是加强校园文化建设的重要途径。

During the time when the Sixteenth People's Congress of the Communist Party draws up a blueprint for the complete construction of a relatively comfortable life of the society, it lays great emphasis on cultural construction. Culture is the national spiritual support and intelligence resource. Advanced culture is the crystallization of human civilization, which contains two aspects: ideology and morality as well as science and knowledge. Trying to set up a campus culture of high grade is one of the ways to carry forward the advanced culture. It is important means to carry forward the primary culture, to arm teachers and students' minds with advanced culture, to strengthen the construction of teaching morality, to give full play to students' function, to acquire service awareness and to make available communications and co-operations among colleges.
