As a manufacturer location for 50 years, a glass factory built in 1950' s in Tianjin eventually completed its duty of about half a century in 2003. A newly developed residential district, called 'Crystal City', substituted as the new host of the place, instead of razing everything relentlessly, the real estate developer had a comprehensive consideration on the current situation before they started the new district ' s development. According to the thought of 'Rejuvenating the legacy', they decided to reserve some elements of the factory in the industrial age and told a new story about the old factory and an old story about the new community.
