The technology for swift change of the fixed diameter tundish nozzle of the billet continuous caster is an effective means to raise the heats of continuous casting and in the meanshile its related technology of long life for the tundish is a guarantee to realize the higher heat number.The present paper introduces the application and popularization of these technologies in the No.3 Steel Plant of the Capital Steel and describes the improvement of the mechanism for swift change of nozzles and optimization of the tundish material.
