The Social Roles of Women in the Traditional Southern Minority Society——Also Compare with that of Han Nationality

传统社会中,南方民族妇女广泛地参与了各项社会生产劳动,进而参与了社会政治生活,与汉族妇女的社会角色大不相同。此种现象的深刻历史背景,是南方民族的"游耕文化",以及由此种文化产生出的两性社会分工。

Traditionaly, women in the societies of southern minorities took part in general all kinds of social labouring activities and so jointly interfered social political activities.Therefore their social role is very much different from Han women. This stemmed from the culture of shifting cultivation, as well as the division of labour in society of both sexes under such a history background of southern minorities.
