Differentiation and Analysis of the Connotations of the Concept Eco-tourism

生态旅游的概念应当限定为生态旅游活动,其内涵应从旅游地、旅游动机和旅游行为3个方面来加以考察,只有在相对自然的生态系统地域开展的、以主动的生态体验作为旅游动机并且旅游行为不破坏生态系统平衡的旅游活动才可称之为生态旅游。这种界定既可避免生态旅游内涵的缩小,也可避免其内涵不适当扩大带来的概念上的泛化。

The concept of Eco-tourism should be limited as Eco-tourism Activities, and its connotations should be considered from three aspects: tourism area, tourist motivation, and tourist behavior. Only those tourism activities taking place in relatively natural ecological areas by tourists whose motivation is positive ecological experiences and whose behavior doesn't damage ecological equilibrium could be considered as eco-tourism. The confusion in the concept of eco-tourism caused by shrinking or expansion of eco-tourism connotations could be avoided from this definition.
