The academic symposium on pioneering issues of sustainable development of Chinese finance, 2003, highlights the far-reaching significance of sustainable development. It puts forward that a perfect capital market is the core of sustainable development of Chinese finance, stability of RMB exchange rate serves as its guarantee while further reform in the commercial banks is its solid base.
