摘要
中国学生英语高频动词语义发展路径的研究对于当前英语词汇的教与学有着重要意义。我们采用横向法分别考察了代表不同英语水平的3组受试对6个英语高频动词的词义和搭配知识的习得。研究发现:在学生英语水平从中级向高级发展时动词语义发展出现"高原现象";学生对于高频动词的首要义项习得优于其他义项。
The exploration of the semantic development of English high-frequency verbs is of much significance in the teaching and learning of English vocabulary. Following a cross-sectional approach, this study centers on the meaning and collocation knowledge of six high-frequency English verbs among Chinese students at three different language proficiency levels. Findings are that a plateau phenomenon occurs in the semantic development when students' language proficiency moves from the intermediate to the advanced level and that the acquisition of the major sense is better than that of others.
