从认知角度看英汉隐喻的相通之处

Viewing on Similarities in English-Chinese Metaphors from the Perspective Of Cognition

隐喻是民族文化的精华,体现了人们的认知方式。鉴于相似的认知基础,英汉隐喻有着许多的共性。本文从认知的角度,通过对英汉隐喻的比较,发现虽然隐喻的深层认知相同,但在表达方式上,有些英、汉完全相同,有些则完全不同,阐述了语言的共性是由于人们的认知心理相同,而不在于语言的具体表现形式。

Metaphor is the cream of our national culture,which reflects the way of the people's cog-nition.With the similar cognition,there are many similarities in English-Chinese metaphors.From the perspective of cognition,we find some E-C metaphors have the same expressions,but some are com-pletely different in spite of the deep similar cognition.This paper elaborates the general characters of the language consisting in the people's similar cognition,not the specific expression.
