Three Represents" and the People's Democracy

“三个代表”是我党执政和领导工作的起码要求;人民民主是国体之所在,是实践“三个代表”的基本条件。“三个代表”与人民民主的出发点和归宿是为人民大众,中心环节和关键是实践。实践“三个代表”,发扬人民民主,需要扫除形式主义、专制主义、官僚主义和家长作风,需要各级领导身体力行,需要严格的法律、制度和有效的监督来保障。

Three Represents?is the essential demand of our Party抯 governing and leadership. The people抯 democracy is our state system and essential condition of carrying out 揟hree Represents. The starting point and destination of Three Represents is for the people, and the key link is how to put it into practice. To carry out Three Represents and to carry on the peoples democracy, we need to sweep out formalism, autocracy, bureaucracy and patriarchal behaviors, to practise what the leaders advocate and to be safeguarded by strict law, system and effective supervision.
