龙滩水电工程位于红水河上游的广西天峨县境内,距天峨县城15km。坝址以上流域面积9.85万km2,占红水河流域面积的71％,其装机容量占红水河可开发容量的35％-40％,是国内在建的仅次于长江三峡的特大型水电工程。
