摘要
转述是学术语篇的一种普遍现象,作者为了创建自己的研究空间,会首先回顾本研究的背景,以继续前期研究,因而要大量地转述他人的观点及研究成果。本文基于自然学科和人文学科一定量的英语学术语篇语料,分析了转述的结构形式及其与时态、语态的关系,探讨了转述动词的类别及功能,说明了转述形式和转述动词在揭示作者观点、构建作者身份方面的作用,从而体现出作者与被转述人、读者乃至语篇生成过程的互动。
Reference to previous work is virtually obligatory in academic texts as a strategy for supporting current claims. This paper presents an analysis of reporting in English academic texts of natural sciences and humanities, provides a classification of reporting verbs, and also discusses the relationship between reporting structure and tense and voice. Reporting plays an important role in revealing the writer's attitude and establishing his identity, as a result, indicates the interaction between the writer, the reported person , the text proper and even the potential reader.
